Navigating Ontario rebates: the right sequence

Most rebate programs have strict sequencing requirements. Doing upgrades in the wrong order — or starting work before your pre-retrofit audit — can disqualify you from thousands of dollars in rebates.

1

Pre-Retrofit Audit

Required by both the HRS Program and Canada Greener Homes Loan before any eligible work begins. Must be performed by a registered energy advisor.

2

Choose Upgrades

Using your audit report, we identify which upgrades qualify for which programs and rank them by payback and rebate value.

3

Complete the Work

Eligible upgrades are completed by qualified contractors. Documentation requirements vary by program — we track what's needed.

4

Post-Retrofit Audit & Claim

Most programs require a post-retrofit EnerGuide audit to verify improvements. Rebate applications are then submitted with supporting documentation.

Find out exactly what you qualify for.

We assess your home, identify every applicable rebate program, and handle the paperwork — as a standard part of our advisory service.
